Course Program

Course program 17 to 22 August, 2026

The aim of the Summer Course Amsterdam is to host and facilitate a shared responsibility in a learning and creative environment. We encourage a proactive attitude in how to question each others’ methods and resources.

Katie Duck, Maria Mavridou, Erik van de Wijdeven, Manuela Lucia Tessi and Jonathan Nagel guide the course program. Each of these artists come from different countries and artistic backgrounds. What they have in common is a dedication to develop multidisciplinary practices with a curiosity for how improvisation evolves towards real time performances.

The Summer Course schedule includes: Movement and composition studies every morning (except Saturday). Multidisciplinary Workshop with Katie Duck on the Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Rehearsal process on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Performances that include participants and staff under the title “Sublime Escapades”.
