Course program 18 to 23 August, 2025
The aim of the one week Summer Course Amsterdam is to host and facilitate a shared responsibility with the participants on the course, in a learning and creative environment. We encourage a proactive attitude in how to question our own and each others’ methods and resources.
Katie Duck, Maria Mavridou, Erik van de Wijdeven, Manuela Lucia Tessi and Jonathan Nagel have designed and participate in the course program. Each of these artists come from different countries and artistic backgrounds. What they have in common is a dedication to develop multidisciplinary practices with a curiosity for how improvisation evolves towards real time performances.
The Summer Course schedule includes: Movement studies in the morning. Multidisciplinary Workshop with Katie Duck on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. A rehearsal process on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Two Performances on the Friday and Saturday that include all participants and staff under the title “Sublime Escapades”

Multidisciplinary Workshop with Katie Duck 18 + 19 August:
On the Monday and Tuesday afternoons, Katie Duck will be doing a Multidisciplinary workshop. This two day workshop is open for registration. It is an opportunity for people who prefer to do a short, intensive study.
