Course Program

The Summer Course Program includes an Amsterdam based Artists staff:

Katie Duck, Maria Mavridou, Erik van de Wijdeven, Manuela Lucia Tessi, Jonathan Nagel, and Ksenia Perek.

Each of these artists come from different countries, and artistic backgrounds. What they have in common is a dedication to develop multidisciplinary practices with a curiosity for how improvisation evolves towards real time performances.

The daily schedule contains sessions, workshops and rehearsals that lead towards real time performances; week 1 in the Attic Studio. Week 2 in the Ventilator Cinema and Bar.

We add musicians from Amsterdam to join the week 2, “Live Wild Reckless Show” and rehearsal process, and include an Alexander teacher in week 1. We provide tutorials, and provide space for the participant group to gather, bond and feedback.

Our aim, as staff, is to host and facilitate a shared responsibility with the participants on the course, in a learning and creating environment. We encourage a proactive attitude in how to question our own and each others’ methods and resources.
