The Summer Course Program includes an Amsterdam based Artists staff:
Katie Duck, Maria Mavridou, Erik van de Wijdeven, Manuela Lucia Tessi, Jonathan Nagel, and Ksenia Perek.
Each of these artists come from different countries, and artistic backgrounds. What they have in common is a dedication to develop multidisciplinary practices with a curiosity for how improvisation evolves towards real time performances.
The daily schedule is workshops with Katie Duck that lead to rehearsals for real time performances in the Ventilator Cinema and Bar over the weekends.
We include tutorials with Katie during the breaks, space for the participant group to gather, bond and feedback.
We also collaborate with an Alexander teacher who offers an additional lesson on the Wednesday evening.
Our aim is to host and facilitate a shared responsibility with the participants on the course, in a learning and creative environment. We encourage a proactive attitude in how to question our own and each others’ methods and resources.
